Jerry Austin Daves

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Jerry Austin Daves, 67, of Commerce who passed away early Friday morning at the Athens Regional Medical Center.

Born in Clark County, he was the son of the late Guy Robert and Alma Owensby Daves and was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Daves and Johnny Daves. Survivors include his wife of the residence, Martha Howington Daves; children, Carol Daves Cook of Commerce, Vicki Daves Smith of Danielsville, Jerry Bradley Daves of Commerce and Chad Austin Daves, also of Commerce; sisters, Maryann Thomas of Commerce, Janice Williamson of Winterville and Amy Brown of Commerce; 8 grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday at 2 PM from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 6-8 PM and at other times at the residence located at 869 State St. in Commerce.
