Earl Sanford

Mr. Earl Sanford, age 67, of Dahlonega, GA died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at his residence in Dahlonega following a brief illness.

Earl was a native of Lumpkin County and of the Baptist Faith. He was a retired truck driver for Milton Foods.

Earl was the son of the late Earlie Grady Sanford Sr. and Edna Wood Sanford, and was also preceded in death by son, Earl "Buddy" Sanford III, and sister, Thelma Edwards.

Earl is survived by his wife, Dot Sanford of Dahlonega, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Anna Sanford of Dahlonega, GA; son, Dwayne Whitt, Atlanta, GA; daughters, Shirley Steiner of Alabama, and Lynn Hendrix of Arkansas; daughters and sons-in-law, Karan and Jerry Stephens, Gainesville, GA, and Vickie and Garrett Harris of Dahlonega, GA; brothers, Horace Sanford, Lula, GA, and John Sanford, Jackson, GA; and sisters, Alma Virginia Morgan and Erlene Sanford Hicks of Dahlonega, GA. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for Earl at 11 AM on Saturday, December 22, 2012, at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.

Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate.
