John George Wilbanks, Jr.

Mr. John George Wilbanks, Jr., age 57, of Gainesville passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012.

The family will hold a private Funeral Service & interment.

Mr. Wilbanks was born March 19, 1955 to John George & Lena Wilbanks, Sr. in Chatsworth, Georgia and was a member of Blackshear Place Baptist Church and Gideons International. He was a Career Prosecutor for the State of Georgia, receiving his Undergraduate Degree from Brenau University and Law Degree from the University of Georgia.

Survivors include: wife of 28 years, Deborah Wilbanks of Gainesville; son & daughter-in-law, Matthew & Arlynn Wilbanks of Buford; son, Daniel Wilbanks of Chattanooga, Tennessee; daughter & son-in-law, Kym & Mike Newman of Gainesville; grandson, Nethan Hewell; parents, John George & Lena Wilbanks, Sr., of Chatworth; brother & sister-in-law, Jim & Rhonda Wilbanks of Cohutta; sister & brother-in-law, Susan & Bill Smitherman of Dalton; and several nieces & nephews.
