Mary L. DesSoye

Mary L. DesSoye (nee Junkin), 80, of Buford, GA, formerly of Buffalo, NY and St. Augustine, FL, passed away on December 11, 2012.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., December 14, 2012 at Prince of Peace RC Church at 6439 Spout Springs Road, Flowery Branch, GA. Father Eric will be officiating. Another memorial service will be held in Buffalo, NY at a later date.

Mary was born in Buffalo, NY on November 9, 1932. She graduated from South Park High School. Mary was married to James DesSoye on May 31, 1952; they were married 38 years. He passed away in 1990 in St. Augustine, FL.
Mary worked as a legal secretary for firms in the Buffalo, NY area and St. Augustine, FL for 35 years. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and antique shopping. She was also actively involved in the Red Hat Society and Golden Agers.


Mary is survived by 3 children (Denise Mount of Lawrenceville, GA, Clark DesSoye of Scottsdale, AZ and Eric DesSoye of Getzville, NY), 5 grandchildren (Sarah Nelson of Norcross, GA, Amanda Sacchitello of Athens, GA, Benjamin DesSoye of Chicago, IL and Gabriel and Bethany DesSoye of Getzville, NY), 2 great grandchildren, her brother (John Junkin of Hamburg, NY), nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society. The family of Mary L. DesSoye wishes to thank Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care and the "Star in the Sky."
