Richie Vann Franklin

Richie Vann Franklin, age 52 of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012 at his residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, December 3, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Free Chapel Worship Center with the Reverend Larry Horrell, Reverend Jentezen Franklin and Billy Doyle Franklin, Jr. officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 in Middlesex, NC in the Stone Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the foyer of Free Chapel Worship Center

Reverend Franklin was born June 14, 1960 in Winfield, Alabama to Katie Stone Franklin the late Reverend Billy Doyle Franklin, Sr. He evangelized for 7 years with the Church of God; was pastor of Word of Life Church in Colbert, GA for 3 years, Christian Fellowship Church in Cartersville, GA for 16 years and was an associate pastor at Free Chapel Worship Center for 2 years. He is preceded in death by his father, Billy Doyle Franklin, Sr.

Reverend Franklin is survived by his wife, Rheana Daniels Franklin of Gainesville; son, Chase Franklin of Gainesville; daughter, Christian Franklin of Gainesville; son, Stone Franklin of Gainesville; son, Brighton Franklin of Gainesville, mother, Katie Stone Franklin of Flowery Branch; brother, Billy Doyle Franklin, Jr. of Gastonia, NC; brother, Reverend Jentezen Franklin of Gainesville; sister, Jennifer Horrell of Cleveland, TN and sister, Jill Jones of Gainesville.
