Lois Fauscett Griffin

Lois Fauscett Griffin, 88, of Gillsville died Saturday December 1, 2012 following a sudden illness.

She was born in Gillsville to the late Augustus and Carrie Fauscett. She was affectionately known as Mama Lois to her grand and great children. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of Dunagan's Chapel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Augustus and Carrie Fauscett; her husband of 60 years, Ernest Griffin; her infant children Ronald, Donald, Randall, & Elaine Griffin; brothers, Wilburn, Terrell, Ansel, Aubrey, Glover, & Harold Fauscett; and son-in-law, Steve Dunagan.

Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Dunagan, Gillsville; grandchildren, Randy & Jennifer Griffin, Gillsville; Jordan & Samantha Dunagan, Gainesville; great grandchildren, Will, Abby, & Emma Griffin, & Delaney Dunagan; sisters-in-law, Janie Fauscett, Gainesville; Joy Schaefer, Murrayville; Maxine Fauscett, Gillsville, Edith Averette, Gainesville; Bernice Griffin, Carolyn Griffin, & Lois Cape of Gillsville, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Monday December 3, 2012 in the Ward's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. James Sneed and Rev. Marshall Dale will officiate. Interment will follow in the Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery in Gillsville. The family will receive friends Sunday December 2, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
