William Gordon Craig

Mr. William Gordon Craig, age 66 of Dahlonega, GA died November 29, 2012.

William was a native of Fannin County, GA and had lived in Dahlonega since 1992. He was a Deacon at Dahlonega Baptist Church and served on other church committees including being the former Youth Leader of the First Baptist Church in Dawsonville, GA. Mr. Craig served his country in the United States Navy, and was formerly employed by the United States Postal Service and North GA College and State University.

He was the son of the late William Gordon Craig Sr and Lucille Beaver Craig.

William is survived by his wife, Lowayne Parker Craig of Dahlonega, GA; son and daughter-in-law William Gordon "Billy" Craig III and Ashlee Craig of Dahlonega, GA; brother Robert Craig of Morganton, GA; and sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Steve Christopher of Epworth, GA. A number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for William are scheduled for 2:00 PM Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Dahlonega Baptist Church.

Rev. Bill Hutcheson and Rev. Stan Lovell will officiate.

Interment will follow at Old Morganton Cemetery in Fannin County at 4 PM.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega from 2 PM until 4 PM and 6 PM until 9 PM on Saturday, December 1, 2012.
