Carl Edward Grubb

Carl passed peacefully on Thursday November 29, 2012.

Carl was born in Knoxville, TN on September 25, 1935 and at the age of 17 moved to Detroit Michigan. Carl met Barbra Zettel in Detroit, married in January 1955, and began their family. Carl worked for United Van Lines in Fenton, MO for over 30 years, retiring to Cumming, Georgia in 2003.

Carl was predeceased by his father Clyde Grubb, his mother Margaret (Guinn) Grubb and his brother Gene Grubb. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Zettel) Grubb; brother, Jack Grubb; daughter, Terry Backer and her husband Thomas Backer; son, Carl A Grubb; daughter, Debbie Van Mill and her husband Karl Van Mill; son, Keith Grubb and his wife Robin Grubb; son, Mark Grubb and his wife Amy Grubb and daughter, Victoria Erb and her husband Kenneth Erb.

Carl is also survived by his loving grandchildren - Brian Backer, Kelly (Backer) Perry, Katie Backer, Erika (Baker) Barron, Keri (Van Mill) Kilgore, Andrew Van Mill, Alex Van Mill, Lauren Grubb, Nicole Grubb, Mark Grubb II, Morgan Grubb, Jamie Erb, Kenny Erb, Kevin Erb and his Great Grandchildren, Peyton Kilgore, Holden Kilgore and Landon Van Mill.

Funeral Mass will be held Monday, December 3rd at 11:00 am at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Father Frank Richardson officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Monday from 9:00 am until 10:30 am.
