Irene Bennett Mote

Irene Bennett Mote, age 88, of Demorest, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2012.



Mrs. Mote was born on January 25, 1924, in Franklin County, Georgia; daughter of the late Harvey Jones and Mary Lou Vina Brock Bennett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Mote. Mrs. Mote was a retired employee of Scovill Manufacturing Company with over 20 years of service. She was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church.



Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Barbara Mote and Danny and Judy Mote, both of Demorest, GA; sister, Eva Ruth Cisson, Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Martin Mote and his wife, Erica and Corey Mote, both of Demorest, GA.



Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2012, at Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. James Lyons officiating.



The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. before the graveside service, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia.
