Mr. Ernest "Ernie Nub" "Iron Man" Hayes age 72 of Gainesville passed away on Saturday November 24, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday November 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Reverend Terry Hambrick will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday November 25, 2012 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. & 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ernest was born on December 05, 1939 in Jackson County to the late, John Charlie Hayes and Mary Ann Self Hayes. He was a member of Center Methodist. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Ernest is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Rod Berryman of Gainesville, son, Jerry Hayes of Gainesville, granddaughter, Tiahe Simmons, grandson, Austin Floyd, grandson and spouse, Joshua and Julie Floyd, great-grandsons, Preston Simmons, Wyatt Barnhart, Waylon Barnhart, great-granddaughters, Allison Floyd, Aveny Floyd, 5 Brothers, 1 Sister and a number of nieces and nephews.
