David Oswald Williams, Jr.

David Oswald Williams, Jr. age 66 of Commerce died Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Williams was born in Raleigh, NC to the late, David Oswald and Bernice Wheeler Williams, Sr. Mr. Williams was retired from the Civil Service and US Army Reserve, member and Deacon of Middle River Baptist Church, and the Masonic Lodge # 292 F&A.M.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Bobbie Sue Woodall Williams of Commerce; daughters, Lori Browning of Reidsville, NC and Beth Hughes of Hoschton; sons, David Oswald Williams, III of Buford and Matthew Williams of Commerce; brother, Roy Williams of Hertford, NC; sisters, Judy Barnes of Pensacola, FL, Sharon Wickham of Granite City, FL, Kathy Johnson of Portsmouth, VA, and Doris Atwell of Sanford, NC; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral service will be Saturday, Nov. 24 at 1:00 PM from Middle River Baptist Church with the Rev. Jermone Hill officiating with the interment following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday night from 5-8 PM.
