Carl Boyd Conner

Mr. Carl Boyd Conner, 90 of Murrayville died Sunday November 18, 2012 at his residence following an extended illness.

A lifetime resident of Hall County, he was the son of the late Joe and Lizzie Bennett Conner. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Mr. Vernon and Yellow Creek Baptist Church, the Murrayville Masonic Lodge #30 F&AM a substitute school bus driver for Hall County School and was a self employed farmer.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Helen Conner; daughter, Deborah; brothers, Hoyt, Worth, Edison, Clyde; sisters, Annie, Lenora and Ruth.

Mr. Conner is survived by his children, Joyce and Benny Chester of Murrayville, Randall and Denise Conner of Dahlonega, Ronnie and Tena Conner of Moorefield, WV, Ricky Conner of Dahlonega; brother, Ray Conner of Murrayville; grandchildren, Austin, Lucas, Jessie, Marcus ,Casie, Trena; 1 great grandchild Hayden Andrew Evans and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday November 21, 2012 in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ricky Stone, Rev. Franklin Grant officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ken Anderson officiating along with full military honors and masonic graveside rites. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday November 20, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
