Byron Joseph Dorsey, Sr.

Byron Joseph Dorsey, Sr., age 75 of Talmo, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at his residence following an extended illness.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Junior Jones officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am prior to the funeral service.

Mr. Dorsey was born November 24, 1936 in Gainesville, GA to the late Mandy Dorsey. Mr. Dorsey served in the United States Army in the Korean War. He was retired and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his mother and his wife, Sharon Dorsey.

Mr. Dorsey is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Terri Dorsey-Riggs and William Riggs of Woodstock, GA and his son and daughter-in-law, Byron "Joe" and Sherry Dorsey of Florida; granddaughter, Nicole Ingui of Woodstock; grandson, William "Buddy" Riggs of Florida; grandson, Chase Dorsey of Talmo and great-grandson, Ricky Solorzano of Woodstock.
