Reba G. Varnum

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Reba Griffith Varnum, age 93, of Jefferson, who passed away on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012. Mrs. Varnum was born in Jackson County, a daughter to the late Luther C. and Alma Morris Griffith. Mrs. Varnum was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Jefferson and retired from the First National Bank of Jefferson as the Head Teller with 30 plus years of service. Mrs. Varnum was preceded in death by her husband, Edd Varnum, and her sisters, Edith Griffith, Sybil Guthrie, Doris Golia and Miriam Parr.

Survivors include her great niece, Rachel Beatty, Jefferson, nephews, Wayne Parr, Maysville, Mike Parr, Jefferson, brother and sister in law, Julian and Beatrice Varnum, Jefferson, niece, Diane Mecabe, Wantagh, NY, numerous other nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 19, 2012 at 2PM at the graveside in the Jackson Memorial Park with Rev. Eric Shelton officiating. Honored as pallbearers are Kevin Crowe, Wayne Parr, Mike Parr, Rod Beatty, Donald Lord and J.C. Varnum. The visitation will be held on Monday from 12noon
