Rev. William Victor Shaffer

Rev. William Victor Shaffer, Jr, 74, of Gainesville, GA, formerly of Tupelo, MS, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012.

He was veteran of the United States Navy where he served in the Submarine Force. He was a devoted Missionary who loved to share God's word.



He is preceded in death by his parents, William V. Shaffer, Sr. and Grace Gribble; son, Tony Shaffer.



He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Merita Dale Shaffer of Gainesville, GA; son, Steve and Mary Ann Shaffer of Smithville, MS; daughter, Kitsi and Pete Kennedy of Guntown, MS, grandchildren, Laine and Brandi and great grandson, Hayden, and numerous other relatives.



Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Community Chapel Church, Dahlonega, GA. Interment will follow with full military honors in the church cemetery.
