Frank E. Slaton

Frank E. Slaton, 78, of Flowery Branch passed away Wednesday November 14, 2012 at Embracing Hospice following a period of declining health.

Born July 20, 1934 in Dawson County to the late Thomas and Mertie Slaton, he had lived in flowery Branch since 1995 having moved from Forsyth County. Mr. Slaton was a retired residential building contractor and was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by several sisters and brothers.

Surviving are his children, Jenny and Mark Meade, Cumming, Jerry and Marsha Welch, Cumming, Lisa and Dell Smith, Flowery Branch, Leslie Slaton, Cumming, Diane Parker, Tennessee; sister, Freddie Nell Jackson, Gainesville; brother and sister in law, George and Coleen Slaton, Dawsonville; 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday November 16, 2012 at 2 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Scott Wilson will officiate. Interment will follow in the Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
