Betty Jean (Lawson) Waldrip

Mrs. Betty Jean (Lawson) Waldrip, age 81, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 at her residence.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The Reverend Nanci Hicks will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Waldrip was born on August 13, 1931 in Clermont, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Homer Lawson and Beulah (Truelove) Lawson. She was a part of the Clermont High School graduating class of 1948. She retired from Regions Bank, formerly First National Bank after 20 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Lamar Waldrip; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Craig McDonald; son, Steven Lamar Waldrip; daughter, Sherry Dott Waldrip; grandchildren, Harris Waldrip, Taylor Waldrip, Craig "Chip" McDonald, II (Kiesha), Cleve McDonald (Anna), Chance McDonald; 3 great-grandchildren, Xavier, Cierra and Carson; sisters, Martha Lenderman, Juanita Lawson and Peggy Abrahams, special friend, Earl Butler.
