Bertie Lee Bottoms

Bertie Lee Bottoms, age 95 of Cumming, GA, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2012.

Bertie loved her family and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed her garden also. Bertie is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Broughton Bottoms; son, Grady Bottoms; great grandson, Matthew Nolan; son-in-law, Hugh Hammond; parents, Oscar and Cora McBrayer; brother, Hoyt McBrayer and sister, Willie McBrayer.


Survivors include her children, Tommy (Joan) Bottoms, Harold (Rose Mary) Bottoms, Martha Hammond, Mary (D.C.) Nolan; sisters, Edna Wheeler, Hazel McBrayer; 9 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.


Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Bottoms, Rev. Robert Martin, Rev. Alan Dixon and Rev. Tommy Estes officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., on Tuesday from 9 to 9 and on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service.



In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Megan and Pete Fowler in the care of Gina Deal.
