Waymon Thomas Sims

Mr. Waymon Thomas Sims, age 75, of Dahlonega, GA, died Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at his home.

Mr. Sims was a native of Winder, GA who had lived in Lumpkin County for the past 14 years. He owned and operated a vending company for a number of years. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was the son of the late George Sims and Myrtice Adams Sims and was also preceded in death by brothers, Jimmy and Gene Sims.

Survivors include his wife, Vada Sims, Dahlonega, GA; son, Tommy Sims, Dahlonega, GA; daughters, Joe, Beverly, Rhonda, Kim, and Tammy. 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and a number of other relatives also survive.

A memorial service is scheduled for 6 PM Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.

Rev. Gary Ralston will officiate.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 PM until 6 PM.
