B. Alton McCarty

Ivie Funeral Home, Madison County Chapel in Danielsville, announces memorial services for B. Alton McCarty, 79, of Comer who passed away early Wednesday morning at the Athens Regional Medical Center.

Born in Madison County, GA, he was the son of the late Howard and Lois Winfrey McCarty and had been married to Nettie Mae Epps McCarty who passed away in September of this year. Survivors include his children, Diane Powell of Bowman and Mark McCarty of Comer, 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Mr. McCarty was cremated and graveside memorial services are scheduled for Friday at 1 PM from the Meadow Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Steve Parker officiating.
