Louine R. Anderson

Louine R. Anderson, 97, of Dawsonville passed away Thursday October 25, 2012 at her residence following a period of declining health.

Born October 16, 1915 in Prairie Hill, Texas to the late Pleasant R. and Julia Roberts, she and her husband moved from Atlanta to Lake Lanier in 1973 where they enjoyed boating and fishing. Mrs. Anderson was a graduate of North Texas State and taught school in Texas, the Atlanta school system, in Douglasville, GA and in Forsyth County until her retirement. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and of The Church of Christ. A widow for 27 years, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph B. Anderson.

Surviving are sons and daughters in law, Ben R. and Sandra Anderson, Calhoun, GA, Ed. R. and Patti Anderson, Smyrna, GA; step son and daughter in law, Bill R. and Liz Anderson, Oakwood, GA; four grandchildren, a great granddaughter, and a number of family members in Texas and Minnesota.

Memorial services will be held Monday November 5, 2012 at 1 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Dahloega, GA.

Because of Louine's love of dogs (especially Shelties), it is requested that in lieu of flowers a donation to the Dawson County Humane Society would be appreciated.
