Carolyn Fields

Mrs. Carolyn Fields, age 67, of Dahlonega, GA, died Friday, Oct. 26. 2012, at Chestatee Regional Hospital in Dahlonega, GA.

Carolyn was born May 27, 1945 in Gainesville, GA and had lived most of her life in Lumpkin County. She loved the Lord and was an active member of Dahlonega Baptist Church until her health deteriorated.

She was the daughter of the late Robert Hughes and Morene Ladd Hughes, and is survived by her step-mother, Vernis Hughes.

Carolyn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and is survived by her husband, J.W. Fields, Dahlonega, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Jeannen Fields, Pooler, GA, Scott and Djeneba Fields, Alpharetta, GA; brothers, Bud Hughes, Bobby Hughes, and Michael Hughes, all of Dahlonega, GA; sisters, Barbara Sanford, Jackson, GA, and Charlotte Hughes, Dahlonega, GA; grandchildren, Jeffery Fields II, Taylor Rae Fields, Aaron Fields, and Kevin Nela Fields. A number of other relatives also survive.

She loved spending time with her family, reading, watching 'The Beaver' and 'The Andy Griffith Show', and playing Canasta with her friends at the Lumpkin Co. Senior Center.

Funeral services for Carolyn are scheduled for 3 PM Sunday, October 28, 2012 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.

Rev. J R Fields and Rev. Paul Wade will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Saturday from 4 PM until 7 PM.
