Zona Mae Anderson

Zona Mae Anderson, age 73, of Dahlonega, GA, died Saturday, October 27, 2012, at the Gold City Convalescent Center in Dahlonega, GA.

Mrs. Anderson was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. She was retired from North Georgia College, and was a member of Hightower Baptist Church in Lumpkin County.

She was the daughter of the late Jim Grizzle and Lois Rider Grizzle and was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Anderson; and brothers, Ed, John Franklin, and Hubert Grizzle, grandchildren, Layla Mallard and Riley Nichole Anderson.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine and Robert Brooks, Laura Jean and Terry Trammell, Billie Carol and Michael O'Connor, all of Dahlonega; sons, Kenneth Anderson, Ralph David Anderson, and James Anthony Anderson, all of Dahlonega, GA; brothers, Herbert Grizzle, Dahlonega, Clyde Grizzle, Lula, GA, Bill, Grady, Henry, and Ernest Grizzle, all of Dahlonega; sisters, Stella Odom and Lila Spriggs, Dahlonega, Fannie Grizzle, Turnerville, and Annie Botts, Dahlonega. 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a large number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Anderson are scheduled for 3 PM Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at the Banister Funeral Chapel.

Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate.

Interment will follow in Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Sunday from 6 PM until 9 PM, all day Monday, and again on Tuesday until the time of service.
