Nell Claire Harris

Mrs. Nell Claire (Williams) Harris, age 91, of Gainesville , Georgia passed away Friday, October, 26, 2012 at her residence.

Services are scheduled for 11:00 am on Monday October 29, 2012, at the Chapel of Lanier Village Estates. The Reverend Richard Evans and Reverend Bruce Fields will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service. Interment will be held on Wednesday October 31,2011 at 1:00 pm at Riverside Cemetery in Albany , Georgia .

Mrs. Harris was born March 11, 1921 in Baconton , Georgia and was the daughter of the late Edward Brooks and Thalia (Watson) Williams. She was a graduate of ABAC and the University of Georgia . As a wife and homemaker she supported her husband throughout his career with Ralston Purina. In that time they lived in several states including Missouri , Indiana , Michigan and Georgia . She was an active member of the Baptist Church and also the local garden clubs. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Emmett Harris, Jr.; and a sister, Blanche W. Roesch.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her son, Charles E. Harris, III of Cumming, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Edward Brooks Harris and Martha of Spartanburg, SC; nephew and wife, Edward A. Brown and Karen of Athens, GA; grandson and wife, Charles E. Harris, IV and Carrie; granddaughter, Kathleen T. Harris; great-grandson, Grayson Harris; great-nephews and niece, Brooks Brown, Ed Brown and Vicky Buschbaum.
