Woodrow Wilson

Mr. Woodrow Wilson, age 96, of Commerce, GA died Friday, October 26, 2012 at his residence.

Mr. Wilson was born December 20, 1915 in Nicholson, GA to the late William Preston Wilson and Estelle Kinney Wilson Vincent. He was a member of Rogers Baptist Church. Mr. Wilson was a carpenter, electrician and plumber. He was one the first to run power lines for Jackson EMC.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his first wife, Geneva Wilbanks Wilson; children, Norma Wilson by his first wife and Edna Gail Wilson by his surviving wife; grandson, Joseph Tyler Ogles; sister, Averie Bell and half-brother, Miriam B. Vincent.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife of 55 years, Edna Mae Beasley Wilson of Homer; son from his previous wife, Kenny Woodrow Wilson of Pendergrass; daughters from his previous wife, Zena Shirl Wilson Hart of Commerce and Regina Diane Wilson Ogles of Maysville; son from his first wife, Hugh Wilson; daughters from his first wife, Rebecca, Patricia, Earnestine, Debbie and Faye; brother, G.W. Wilson of Nicholson; sister, Eutelle Nix of Apple Valley; granddaughters, Autumn Tiana Ogles, Shianne Jade Ogles, Kenzie Marie Wilson and Misty Reyne Ogles; grandson, Hayden River Ogles; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Sunday, October 28 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Wilson and Rev. Renee Dubose officiating. Interment will follow in Rogers Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday night from 6 to 8 PM.
