Alvin Lee Marlow

Alvin Lee Marlow, age 22, of Dahlonega, GA, died Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA following a long battle with Cystic Fibrosis.

Alvin was born in Easley, SC and had lived in Lumpkin County for the past three years. He was a former resident of Butts County, GA. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Suches, GA.

Alvin is survived by his wife, Becky Marlow, Dahlonega; parents, Jerry and Jackie Marlow, Dahlonega; grandmother, Lois Marlow, Monroe, GA; brothers, Jerry Marlow Jr. and Richard Marlow, both of Gainesville, Joshua Waits, Victor Marlow, Kendall Marlow, Erik Marlow, Michael Marlow, and Andrew Marlow, all of Dahlonega; sisters, Joni Marlow, Monroe, GA, Stephanie Marlow, Dahlonega, Danielle Marlow, Baldwin, and Samantha Marlow, Dahlonega; nephews, James Rowe, Christopher Marlow, and Austin Waits. Numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Alvin are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, October 26, 2012 at Zion Baptist Church in Suches, GA.

Rev. Tim Taylor will officiate. Interment will follow in the church Cemetery. Mr. Marlow will lay in state at the church on Friday from 1 PM until 2 PM.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 PM until 9 PM.
