Marilyn Porter

Marilyn Porter, 65, died October 22, 2012 at her home in Cumming, Georgia.

Marilyn was born on November 29, 1946 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Marilyn taught elementary school for 30 years as well as teaching Sunday School classes. She was also active in the education of 3 of her grandchildren as she helped homeschool them. Marilyn was very active in her church.

Marilyn is survived by her husband Chuck Porter; 2 sons and their spouses Charles and Jinah Porter and Brian and Wendy Porter; and 4 grandchildren Chase, Daniel, Kaylee and Karsen.

A funeral service with visitation to follow at the church with take place on October 24 at 2:00 p.m. at Cumming First United Methodist. A private burial is to follow.
