CAROLYN REBECCA ROGERS COALLEY, age 71, of Alto, Georgia, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 13, 2012, after several years of declining health.
Mrs. Coalley was born on November 29, 1940, in Habersham County, Georgia; daughter of the late Wiley and Dora Hightower Rogers. She was
a widow of John Henry Lewallen, Willie Slater, and C.M. Coalley. Mrs. Coalley was also preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Ann Slater; son, John Edward Lewallen; brothers, Bobby, Earl, J.C., and David Rogers; and sister, Mildred Rogers Caudell. She was formerly employed with Mt. Vernon Mills for 16 years and retired from Habersham Pre-K in
Baldwin. Mrs. Coalley was a member of Alto Congregational Holiness Church.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Diane Lewallen and Mark Loggins, Alto, GA; daughter and her fiancé, Janet Little and Mike
Gosnell, Alto, GA; sisters, Josephine Sims, Cornelia, GA and Gail Kastner, Cleveland, GA; brother, Roy Rogers, Alto, GA; grandchildren,
Jonathan Little, Lula, GA, Deidre Little, Alto, GA, Jada Lewallen, Hoschton, GA, and Jimmy Mark Loggins, Alto, GA; and
great-grandchildren, Destiny Marie Seabolt and Kaylee Marie Via.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at Alto Congregational Holiness Church, with Rev. Tim Beasley and Rev. Bill Trotter officiating. Interment will follow in the church
cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. on Monday, October 15, 2012, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
