Mr. Donnie Thompson, age 59, of Buford, GA passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2012. He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Lee Thompson, Jr. He is survived by his wife of seven years, Dianne Page Thompson, Buford, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Tiffany Thompson, Sugar Hill, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Pete Gudz, Jefferson, GA; step children, William Lathem, Buford, GA, Tonya McKenzie, Buford, GA, Julie Wood, Savannah, GA, Melissa McKenzie, Buford, GA and Shannon Robertson, Winder, GA; seventeen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; mother, Margie Cowart Thompson, Buford, GA; brother and sister-in-law, David and Trinket Thompson, Dacula, GA, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Thompson was born December 30, 1952 in Duluth, GA. He was a 1972 graduate of Duluth High School in Duluth, GA. He was retired from Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, GA as a security guard. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Houze officiating. Interment will follow at Peachtree Memorial Park in Norcross, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
