Clyde Nelson Fitzpatrick

Mr. Clyde Nelson Fitzpatrick, age 96, of Danielsville, GA died Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at his residence.

Mr. Fitzpatrick was born in Madison County to the late Ernest Obediah and Chester Bonnie White Fitzpatrick. He was a member of Erastus Christian Church. Mr. Fitzpatrick was retired from UGA as a supervisor in the Environmental Design Department. He was also retired from the Madison County School System as a teacher, principal and basketball coach. Mr. Fitzpatrick was also a former Tax Commisioner of Madison County. In addition to his parents, Mr. Fitzpatrick was preceded in death by his first wife, Rosa Nell Minish Fitzpatrick.

Mr. Fitzpatrick is survived by his second wife, Margie Nell Dalton Fitzpatrick of Danielsville; sons, Nelson Fitzpatrick of Braselton, C. Leon Fitzpatrick of Athens and Jeff Fitzpatrick of Duluth; step-sons, Steve Fleeman of Jefferson, Brian Beard of Ila and Greg Beard of Danielsville; brother, Horace Fitzpatrick of Cleveland; sisters, Chester Wylder of Stockbridge and Martha Davis of Mauldin, SC; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Thursday, October 11 at Erastus Christian Church with Mr. Billy Glosson and Mr. Steve Parker officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday, October 10 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM.
