Jeffrey Terrell Grant

Jeffrey Terrell Grant, age 69, of Clarkesville died Monday, October 1, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Toledo, Ohio on July 4, 1943, Mr. Grant was the son of the late Joseph A. " CY" and Ethylene Dixon Grant. Mr. Grant was a graduate of the University of South Carolina. He was a retired nursery owner and he was also a coach. Mr. Grant was a former furniture store owner and he worked in sales. Mr. Grant was inducted into the Habersham County Ring of Honor and he was a member of Bald Ground Baptist Church.

Survivors include wife Shirley Stamey Grant of Clarkesville, daughter and son in law Jill and David Oliver of Irmo, South Carolina, brothers and sisters in law Joe and Jean Grant of Ormond Beach, Florida and David and Nell Grant of Gilbert, South Carolina, grandsons Dylan Oliver and Dixon Oliver both of Irmo, South Carolina and a number of nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family will receive friends at the Hillside Memorial Chapel funeral home on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Private graveside services will be held in Providence Baptist Cemetery. Celebration of Life services will also be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center, 2150 Limestone Parkway, Suite 222, Gainesville, GA 30501.
