Jenny Bargen

Jenny Bargen, 66, died September 25, 2012, with her family by her side at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, GA.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Saturday October 6 at Buford Presbyterian Church in Buford, GA. She was born April 3, 1946, in Chicago to Glen and Dorothy Guarnieri. Her father was a metallurgist and her mother a nurse. Jenny spent most of her childhood years in Chagrin Falls, OH.
Jenny attended Lake Erie College in Ohio. She later earned a nursing degree from Case Western Reserve University. After graduating from nursing school, she worked for UPS, where she met her husband, Dale Bargen. She was promoted to a regional manager position in Columbus, OH, where they adopted four children. She was transferred to the Southeast region in 1992 to Atlanta GA. Jenny retired in 2001 and devoted herself to raising children and her gardens. She was an active member of the Buford Presbyterian Church, baking communion bread and arranging flowers from her garden for many years. Her interests included family, church, gardening, music and baking. She devoted much of her time and energy to her gardens, planting thousands of daffodils and perennials.

Jenny is survived by her husband, Dale Bargen; sons Isaac and Jeron Bargen; daughters, Halle Manley and Lea Bargen, sisters Alice Rossington and Marie Herron; brothers Fred Guarnieri and Al Guarnieri. She was preceded in death by her father, Glen Guarnieri and mother, Dorothy Gaurneri.
