Ralph Edwin Hope

Mr. Ralph Edwin Hope, 91, of Dawsonville Highway, Gainesville, GA passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2012 after an extended illness.

Mr. Hope was born March 12, 1921 in Forsyth County (Cumming) GA. He was a World Ward II veteran and received a Purple Heart. Mr. Hope served in the United States Army and was wounded while serving in France in the Battle of the Bulge. Mr. Hope was retired from Dundee Mills and also as a Forsyth County bus driver. Mr. Hope was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church, Dawsonville, Ga.

Preceded in death by his wife, Blanche Cox Hope; son, Randall Hope; parents, James Edgar & Violet Robbs Hope.

Mr. Hope is survived by a son and daughter-in-law; Ricky and Mary Hope of Forsyth County; daughter and son-in-law; Lynn and Bobby Watkins of Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law; Elizabeth and Robert Lackey of Winder; grandchildren, Michelle and Wes Brock, Suzanne and Shane Caylor, Tabetha and Jerry Palmer, Alicia and Jason Swoszowski; great-grandchildren, Jaycee and Seth Caylor, Hannah and Jenna Brock, Taylor and Trace Swoszowski, and Griffin Palmer; brother and sisters-in-law; Edward and Joyce Cox, Thelma Cox and Pat Cox and a number of nieces and nephews and cousins.
