Lucy Nelson, age 67 of Marietta, GA, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 22, 2012.
She was a graduate of Campbell High School and Georgia State University. Lucy was a wonderful loving teacher and mother. She loved animals and worked at the Shallowford Animal Hospital for many years. She loved the Lord and enjoyed teaching his word. She was a member of Mt. Paran North Church of God in Marietta. Lucy is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Lucille Ackett.
Survivors include her husband, Garry Nelson; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Erin Nelson; grandchildren, Barret and Brody Nelson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 26th at 11:00 am at Mt. Paran North Church of God, 1700 Allgood Rd. Marietta, GA 30062 with Rev. Bud Leonard officiating. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta, GA. The family
