J.C. Sulcer, 88, of Gainesville, passed away Friday, September 21, 2012 following a period of declining health.
Born on November 15, 1923, in Prospect, TN, he was the son of the late G.C. and Ila Tate Sulcer. He was in the U.S. Navy during World War II serving for 4 years. He was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church, and a 32nd Degree Mason. He was retired from Master-Bilt Products.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary Sulcer of Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Vicky and Bob Prator of Lawrenceville, Susan and Med Roach of Newnan, Sherry and Larry James of Marietta; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 24, 2012 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Larry Patton and Dr. Med Roach will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery/ Veteran Section. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to New Hope United Methodist Church Building Fund, 4815 Dawsonville Highway Gainesville, GA 30506.
