Gladys Henderson Gilbert

Gladys Henderson Gilbert, age 87 and a native of Forsyth County passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012.

She enjoyed gardening and traveling. Gladys was the oldest member and past president of the McDonalds Coffee Club and a founding member of Shores of Lanier Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Voyd "Gib" Gilbert and parents, Alexander Berry and Myrtie Allie Henderson.



Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Milton Smith of Cumming, Cheri and John W. Hendrix of Cumming; sister, Peggy Henderson Dover; grandchildren, Michelle Smith, Melissa and Larry Waldrep, Mark and Paula Hendrix, and Michael Hendrix; great grandchildren, Ellie and Luke Waldrep, and Aidan and Jake Hendrix.


Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 22 at 4:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cary Grant officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Friday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Saturday from 2:00 pm until hour of the service.
