Mr. Keith Lester, 69 of Flowery Branch died Wednesday September 19, 2012 at his residence.
A life long resident of Hall County, Mr. Lester was the son of the late D.P. and Betty Wade Lester. A graduate of South Hall High School, Mr. Lester is a co-owner in Lester Body and Paint Shop in Gainesville. He was very active in the Boys Scouts achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, and while serving in the scouts he also achieved the God and Country award. Mr. Lester was also very active with the Hall County Parks and Recreation Department where he coached Little League football and baseball for a number of years. He served as a deacon and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Haynes Lester, Flowery Branch; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and April Lester, Flowery Branch; daughter and son-in-law; Farrah and John Galley, Pendergrass; grandchildren, Lindsey, Bailey, Alli Jay Lester; Amelia, Ella, Lucy and Cooper Galley; brother and sister-in-law; Jack and Louise Lester, Oakwood; sister and brother-in-law; Dolores and Harold Chandler, Flowery Branch. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Mr. Lester is preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Allan.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday September 21, 2012 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. The Rev. Stacy Phillips and Rev. Jason Lester will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Thursday September 20, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, P.O. Box 656, Oakwood, Ga. 30566.
