Willie Ray "Bill" Glore

Mr. Willie Ray "Bill" Glore, age 79 of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.



Born in Troup County, Georgia on February 24, 1933, he was a son of the late Rev. E.W. and Ollie Queen Glore. Mr. Glore was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict and worked in the textile industry for many years retiring from Leshner Manufacturing as an industrial engineer. He enjoyed spending time with family and was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sons, Dennis Ray Glore, Joseph Michael Glore, and a great-granddaughter, Mallory Faye Ballew.



Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Joyce Franklin Glore, son and daughter-in-law, Tim & Lisa Glore, all of Cornelia, GA; daughter, Barbara Hargis, daughter & son-in-law, Angela & Stephen Frady, all of Mt. Airy, GA; brothers, Robert S. "Bob" Glore, Toccoa, GA; Frank Glore, Mt. Airy, GA; sister, Jane Glore Sewell, Stockbridge, GA; grandchildren, Kristy & Phillip Ballew, Joshua Glore, Jacob Glore, Joseph A. Glore, Timothy Nathaniel Glore, Seth Frady, Bethany Frady, Sarah Frady, and 6 great-grandchildren.



Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2012 at the Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Franklin and Dr. Don Samples officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with the Rev. Brian Stephens officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Grant Reeves V.F.W. Post # 7720, American Legion Post # 84, Rabun County D.A.V. Chapter # 15, and the Georgia National Guard.



The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 4 p.m. & 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday.
