Anita Marie Smith

Ms. Anita Marie Smith, age 29, of Commerce, GA died Monday, September 10, 2012 at Grady Memorial Hospital. She was born in Athens, GA to Frankie Smith (Christie Pirtle-Smith) of Athens and the late Donna Huntsinger. Ms. Smith was a member of New Covenant Worship Center and was employed at The Cabinet Company.

In addition to her father and step-mother, Ms. Smith is survived by her brothers, Roger Stockton and Zackery Smith both of Commerce and Chris and Cale Pirtle both of Athens; sisters, Amber Burkhalter (Ross) of Ila and Carmen Nichols (Chris) of Athens; special friend, Cynthia Fellows of Jefferson; niece, Drake Smith; nephew, Dakota Franklin; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Friday, September 14 at New Covenant Worship Center with Pastor Howard Conine officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday night from 5 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
