Dennis Earl Nation

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces the death of Dennis Earl Nation, 54, of Commerce who passed away at his residence on Sunday.

Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Lester A. and Margaret Whitehead Nation and was also preceded in death by siblings, Linda Allison, Bill Nation and John Nation and a step-son, Matthew Edward McDonald. Survivors include his wife of the residence, Katherine White Nation, siblings, Donald Nation, Rickie Nation, Patsy Hudgins, and Debra Mason, all of Maysville, Joann Lathan and Janice Litchlighter, both of SC and Joyce Hovator of AR, step-son, Timothy (Lindsey) Lewis McDonald, Jr. of Commerce, grandchild, Damion Matthew McDonald of Commerce, father-in-law, Leon White of Homer, sisters-in-law, Patricia (Mark) Shubert and Pam (Troy) Pritchett, both of Homer, nieces and nephews.

Dennis was cremated and a private memorial service will be conducted later by his wife.
