Dorothy Mae Moon Turner Harrison

Dorothy Mae Moon Turner Harrison known to most as "DOT" was born in Washington DC on July 19, 1932 to the late Essie Jones and Clarence Moon. As an infant she moved to Gainesville, GA to live with her grandparents, Joseph and Nina Moon. She attended school at North Western in Gainesville. Mrs. Harrison is the mother of six children: Sandra, Glinda, Howard, Derlyn, Linda and Rodney. She retired from the Department of Family and Children Services.

Mrs. Dorothy Turner Harrison is survived by her husband Kenneth Harrison of Gainesville, GA, six children: Sandra (Marion)Tate of Gainesville, GA, Glenda Dover of Atlanta, GA, Howard (Nita) Turner of Gainesville, GA, Derlyn (Roderick) Jones of Conyers, GA, Linda (Russell) Bishop of Gainesville, GA and Rodney (Donna) Turner of Flowery Branch, GA, Sister-in-law Amateen Childers of Gainesville, GA and a host of other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, neices, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at St Paul Untited Methodist Church at 1pm. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly & Jackson Funeral Home. Internment: Alta Vista Cemetery
