Carol Anne Morton

Carol Anne Morton, 53, of Augusta, Ga. went to be with the Lord on Sept. 07, 2012 after a brief illness.

She accepted Christ at an early age at First Baptist Church, Decatur, GA. She graduated from Tucker High School and attended Mercer University for a short period. She enjoyed playing the piano, softball and bowling. As a teenager, she enjoyed going to Camp Pinnacle in Clayton, GA. After moving to Augusta, she worked at Kendall and Monsanto Companies. She recently graduated with honors from Virginia College as a Pharmacy Technician.
Carol was very organized and wanted everything in its proper place. She was a beautiful and loving daughter, mother and sister, and was a granddaughter of the late Nathan B. and Grace Deaton.

Carol is survived by her parents, Daniel C. Morton and Edith D. Morton, Stone Mountain; son, Joseph P. Mundy, Atlanta; daughter, Tiffany Jefferson, Augusta; Grandsons, Aaron and Cameron Hawes; brothers, Daniel C. Morton, III (Mary), Rome, GA; Thomas Deaton Morton, Sugar Hill; nieces, Maura and Emily Morton. She also leaves behind many loving, aunts, cousins, and other relatives.

The funeral service will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel, Buford, GA. Rev. Rodney Webb & Rev. Danny Newbern will officiate. Interment will follow in Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 12-3 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Hill Baptist Church, 3390 S. Puckett Road, Buford, Ga. 30519.
