John Dudley Ralston

Mr. John Dudley Ralston, age 49, of Dahlonega, GA, died Sunday, September 9, 2012, at Chestatee Regional Hospital in Dahlonega, GA following a sudden illness.

Dudley was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. He was an employee of the Koyo Corporation, and was a member and Deacon at Cradle Mountain Baptist Church in Lumpkin County. He was also a Mason.

Dudley was preceded in death by his father, J.D. Ralston.

He is survived by his wife, Robin Dockery Ralston, Dahlonega, GA; son, John C. Ralston and his wife, Brandy, of Dahlonega, GA; daughter, Michelle McKinney and her husband, Wayne, of Cleveland, GA; mother, Maxine Long Ralston, Dahlonega, GA; brother, Tony Ralston, and his wife, Crystal, of Dahlonega, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy and Jimmy Hood, Dahlonega, GA, Patsy and Bobby Holland, Dahlonega, GA, Debbie and James Berry, Gainesville, GA, Betsy and Jimmy Mills, Jenkinsburg, GA; grandchildren Misty Goodman, Summer Ralston, Luke McKinney, Caleb McKinney, and Ella McKinney. Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Ralston are scheduled for 2 PM Thursday, September 13, 2012, at the Cradle Mountain Baptist Church in Lumpkin County.

Rev. Dale Abernathy and Rev. Wayne McKinney will officiate.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega on Tuesday from 5 PM until 9 PM, all day on Wednesday, and again on Thursday until the time of the service.
