Jamey Kevin Smith

Mr. Jamey Kevin Smith, age 40, of Commerce, GA died Wednesday, September 05, 2012 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Mr. Smith was born in Commerce to the late Harvey and Vernice Smith. He was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Dorsey.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Dawn Loggins Smith of Commerce; brothers, Doug Smith of Commerce, Dennis Smith of Lula, Danny Smith of Rome and Frankie Smith of Athens; and sisters, Brenda Thigpen of Elberton, Judy Smith of Maysville, Shirley Brownlee and Tammy Gee both of Commerce.
Funeral services will be at 3 PM, Sunday, September 9 at Solid Rock Baptist Church with Rev. Swayne Carlan officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 5 to 8 PM.
