Mrs. Mary Stewart Bennett D'Anna, age 85, of Buford, GA passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her parents, W. T. and Dora Stewart; husbands, Thomas Bennett and Tony D'Anna; brother and sister-in-law Byron and Polly Stewart; sister, Ruth Stewart Brogdon; sister-in-law, Wynelle Brogdon Stewart; nephew, Renee Stewart; and niece, Diane Stewart Gresham. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Elaine Bennett Pruitt and Rev. David Pruitt, Buford, GA; granddaughter, Julie Pruitt Conner and husband Kyle Conner, Buford, GA; great-grandchildren, Alexander Conner, Buford, GA and Mollie Ruth Conner, Buford, GA; brother, Donald Stewart, Buford, GA; brother-in-law, Royce Brogdon, Carnesville, GA; nieces and nephews, Keith, Melissa and David Stewart, Buford, GA, Tracey Stewart Burden and Tim Burden, Monroe, GA, Harry and Cheryl Stewart, Buford, GA; and several cousins.
Mrs. D'Anna was born September 8, 1926 in Buford, GA. She was a graduate of Buford High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed canvas painting. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Buford, GA. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister and will be greatly missed.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. David Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
