Ryan A. Baker

Ryan Alden Baker, age 29 of Mt. Airy, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 03, 2012 at his residence.

Born in Stephens County, Georgia on March 12, 1983, he was the son of Deborah Cole Baker of Mt. Airy, GA and Clyde Baker, Jr. of Clayton County, Georgia. Ryan received his Masters of Education Degree from Piedmont College and worked as a Drama Instructor for the last several years with the Habersham Ninth Grade Academy and with Habersham Central High School. He was also an English Instructor with North Georgia Technical College. Ryan was an inspiration to many, loved traveling, and most of all spending time with his family. He was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Mt. Airy, Georgia and was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Cole.

In addition to his parents, Ryan leaves behind to cherish his memories his sister and her fiancé, Alexis Baker and Rico Stargell, Atlanta, GA; sister, Nicole Pinkston, Lavonia, GA; step-father, David Stewart, Mt. Airy, GA; grandparents, Christine Cole, Mt. Airy, GA; Clyde Baker, Sr. & Roberta Baker, Toccoa, GA; fiancé, Jemima Fortune, Gainesville, Georgia; nephew, Cole Stargell, Atlanta, GA; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Homegoing services are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 06, 2012 from the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Mt. Airy, Georgia with Dr. Naomi Dorsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Eastview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. the funeral hour on Thursday.
