Nora L. Burke Anderson

Funeral services for Nora L. Burke Anderson, age 95 of Demorest will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, September 2, 2012 from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. Rev. Larry Free and Rev. Garvis Kinsey will officiate with interment to follow the service in Nacoochee United Methodist Cemetery in Sautee. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service on Sunday from 2:00 PM until the funeral hour.

Mrs. Anderson Died Thursday, August 30, 2012 following a period of declining health.

Born in White County on February 4, 1917, Mrs. Anderson was the daughter of the late W. L and Mary Julia Russell Burke. Mrs. Anderson was an office manager for Graham Paper Company and she was a member of Helen Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Anderson is preceded in death by her husband Eugene L. Anderson, brothers Wilborn Burke and Douglas Burke, and sister Mary Lou Westmoreland.

Survivors include brothers John C. Burke of Cleveland, William C. Burke of Commerce City, Colorado, and Gene M. Burke of Robertstown, sisters Jennie Brooks of Demorest and Laraine Canup of Clarkesville, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
