Don A. Little

Obituary Date: Wednesday, August 29, 2012
Mr. Don A. Little, 56 of Gainesville died Wednesday August 29, 2012 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center after an extended illness.

Don fought a good fight, finished the race and kept the faith and is now receiving his reward.

Don was a devoted Dad to his two sons, a loving husband to his wife of 34 years, a caring son and brother, and a devoted and dependable co-worker to his business partners.

Never meeting a stranger, he loved flying, scuba diving and traveling with his family and friends. Don often planned trips together with his family and friends. All who traveled with him on his adventures often called them "Camp Don". He loved life and lived every day to it's fullest. Don taught everyone who knew him to be fearless and to live everyday like it were your last.

He lived the Christian life seven days a week and his faith and love of God was an example to all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife; Debbie Little, Gainesville; sons, Jeremy Little and Jordan Little, both of Gainesville; mother, Virginia Little, Gainesville; sisters and brothers-in-law; Sharon and Allen Hunter, Watkinsville; Connie and Tony Stephens, Gainesville; Vicki and Lowery Robinson, Dacula; mother-in-law and father-in-law; Billie and Charlie Tanner, Oakwood. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Don is preceded in death by his father, Boyd J. Little.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday September 2, 2012 at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Rev. Mike Taylor and Rev. Ricky Thrasher will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery. with the Rev. Steve Baker officiating. The family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Saturday September 1, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Tree of Hope, c/o Indiana University School of Medicine, P.O. Box 660245, Indianapolis, Indiana 46266-0245 in memory of Don.
