Ms. Mardell Green Nix, age 87, of Jefferson, GA passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her daughters, Sandra Nix and Brenda Nix; and son Tommy Nix. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Betty and Jerry Tuck, Jefferson, GA and Sandra Presley, Nicholson, GA; twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Dallas and Gail Green, Braselton, GA; sisters, Callie Christopher, Gainesville, GA, Virginia Lingerfelt, Braselton, GA and Minnie Dyer, Braselton, GA; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ms. Nix was born March 17, 1925 in Milton, GA. She was retired from Joan Glancy Hospital in Duluth, GA. She was a member of Holy Ground Baptist Church in Jefferson, GA.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 31, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Stewart and Rev. Ricky House officiating. Interment will follow at Warsaw Cemetery in Johns Creek, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
