Marvin "Melvin" Lee Canup

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. Marvin "Melvin" Lee Canup, age 56 of Toccoa. Mr. Canup passed away Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Mr. Canup was born in Habersham County on April 5, 1956 to the late Robert Lee and Margaret Ruth Canup. He worked in construction and was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law Patsy and Tim Ivey of Lula and his brother and sister-in-law Roger and Diane Canup of Mt. Airy.

The family will hold a special gathering at the home of Roger Canup (241 Blair Rd. Mt. Airy , Georgia 30563) from 2 pm to 6 pm on Saturday September 2, 2012.
